The Night Revisited

Today is the promise with abandonment of wine,

We meet again when it drizzles on a cold night,

The sad thoughts follow the landmark of love,

Where now the birds solemn met look dazed,

Again the strange bartender take my book of fate,

And pours a few pegs of whiskey as if I were late,

I am sitting there to see the arrows unleashed by whiskey,

A thought of you and the ice melding with whiskey in warm kiss.
