Once in Mumbai I wondered why theatre play had three acts. Act 1 for the protagonist, act 2 for the anti protagonist while the act 3 for the climax. This I had learnt from Amitabh Bachchan who was at the height of his career with Don booming at the box office while he acting like a real demi god half drunk with his own fame as angry young man, angry young man in India rebelling against the babu order of bureaucracy developed by Indira Gandhi. In Don Amitabh Bachchan plays double role of protagonist and the anti protagonist while in the cult climax he becomes Don who is orphan quitting a racket of cocaine run by him with connivance of police thus assimilating positive and abjuring negative values in his own screen portrayal of Don. He has no rival in acting as if he were an orphan having acting itself as Godfather.
