The last day of Socrates

He was to depart then
his soul would be freed
from the body and
he would enter the world of souls
egocentric nonetheless is the cycle
of birth and death
Its blooming of a flower upon the decent
from the mounts of philosophy
he would bloom nonetheless and no one shall
seek mercy.
Its said and done the freeing of fortune
in death is the ultimate solitude for
the soul to mourn nothing and be heartless
the last day of Socrates spend in cheering
all the pessimism of a philosopher is
indeed joyous and subtle as a memory
Indeed hemlock is poisonous
and all is beaming with the discovery
of the other world.
